Nature

It means so many things. The Circle of Life, is a song in the Lion King, it refers to the hope and despair that we all experience, as well as the faith and love.  Adopt the pace of Nature: Her secret is patience, says Ralph Waldo Emerson. These are sources people trust. So why do we fight nature?

What is Nature?

Trees, water, flowers, weather and animals are some of the things people appreciate when they are in nature. It can bring healing to many people. It can teach us so much as the quote above tells us. Are we fighting it?

Why Do We Fight Nature?

When I am cold in winter, I want to be warm, if it is raining I want to stay dry. I spend more time indoors than I did as a child.  Humans seem to work hard to control nature. It is not working. We have seen in recent days how nature is communicating with us. Are we listening?

Balance with Nature

How can we become more in tune with nature? Is there a balance we should look for? Anne Frank wrote, “The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. And I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles.”
