There is Beauty

“A snowflake is one of God’s most fragile creations, but look what they can do when they stick together!”

This quote reminds me of the beauty that I sometimes forget about. This week, the sun is out and the snow is melting and it is beautiful. I did not expect it, but it was a great reminder of the beauty that surrounds us.

The Beauty of Winter

The dark, the cold, the snow, and the ice. You say: How is that beautiful? The tree branches with the snow, the sun after a storm, neighbors out shoveling for each other, and the winter moon,  these are some of the things I have seen.  When it is so dark, it is hard to see, hard to find these things, but I was reminded this weekend.

The Beauty of People

The year 2016 has been challenging for many people. The beauty of people is that they come together when times are hard. Stories of human kindness can help me get through any day, so I wanted to share this with you. This website, Random Acts of Kindness, is a good place to start. There is a story of a lady on the subway in New York experiencing depression. She writes a letter to another lady next to her that looked sad too. It started a letter writing organization called: The World Needs More Love Letters.

The Beauty of Kindness

We can look and see beauty, but I think the important kind of beauty is summed up in this quote:

“I feel the capacity to care is the thing that gives life it deepest significance.”
-Pablo Casals

Please reach out to someone if you are struggling this holiday season. There are people that want to connect with you and I am one of them.
